Industry training is an integral part of the study program at B.H.M.S.. The school provides one sound training assignment per year in a business that has been carefully selected and chosen as a training venue. It provides an opportunity to gain paid work experience in a Swiss hospitality venue that is known throughout the world for its value during the early stages of a career. The first assignment will be in a junior support role, where a student can practice the skills that they learned during their first six months at school. Successful students may be able to assume more responsibility and guest contact in their second year.

Masterwork, a company owned by B.H.M.S., provides global career and placement support opportunities for B.H.M.S. graduates after completing their Bachelor, Postgraduate Diplomas, Master of Science or Master of Business Administration programs.
B.H.M.S. also works with numerous international placement agencies that specialize in placing graduate students in Europe, Asia and North America.
This service includes preparing resumes and applications, tips for telephone and Skype interviews, job prospecting, and preparing extensive documentation for visa and work permit applications.
B.H.M.S. also offers career days for employers to come to Switzerland and recruit students for their internship and job opportunities directly on campus as well as B.H.M.S. participates in numerous career fairs to expose its graduates to global career opportunities.
The main Campus is in the heart of Lucerne city, it offers a great campus location to its students with easy access to cafés, supermarkets, bars, shops, and restaurants and additional 24-hour front desk security. The main campus of the school includes student residences, student lounge (incl. billiard area), study room, offices, as well as the City Campus Restaurant where the B.H.M.S. students enjoy their meals.
The B.H.M.S. Student Residences offer accommodation in modern rooms equipped with a bathroom, a kitchenette, study areas, and Wi-Fi. Living in one of the B.H.M.S. student residences will put you in the heart of student life, so you can make the most out of your study and leisure time.
Both residence and campus buildings are equipped with Wi-Fi. For students without laptops, B.H.M.S. provides computer facilities which enable them to complete their study assignments and of course to stay connected with their families and friends.
Students with a food and beverage plan are entitled to three meals a day served in the City Campus Restaurant during the week, and brunch with dinner service during the weekends and holidays. For vegetarians and for those who do not eat pork or beef, special dishes are provided with no extra charge.

I was chosen along with 12 other students for the Kempinski career day in Munich Germany. We went to Germany for the final event, it was huge, Gm’s of Kempinski properties from across the world were interviewing students. It was an out of the world experience for me.
